Following the same technique as before, here are another six Genestealers.

Space Hulk: Genestealers (I)

I think this is a good moment for me to tackle Space Hulk just after having painted the Genestealer Cult Kill-Team. The recipe is fresh in my mind and I got used to painting them.

Initially, I was planning on following this recipe but in the end I followed the same one I outlined here.

In any case, here are the first six Genestealers ready to eat some Terminators.

There is nothing much to add regarding the painting technique used aside from the fact that the red of the Terminator armour was done with Terracota and then highlight with Mephiston Red from Games Workshop and mixing Fiery Orange for edge highlight.
For the ones that are either on the floor or in the claws of the Genestealers I decided not to put any blood or any chapter markings as I painted them as old trophies and remains of ancient battles, and therefore, time has faded all of those markings and the blood could not be fresh. Also, it makes it much faster to paint.

Kill Team Genestealer Cult

After showing all the members of the band it is finally time for a family picture!

This marks the first milestone of the year as one of the three goals is now accomplished!

I am going to tackle as next project the Space Hulk box that has been sitting on the pile for way too many years, and it is also my second goal for the year.

The picture is not very good but it is difficult for me to make a good group picture.

That's a total of 1 Patriarch, 2 Genestealers, 4 Aberrants, 3 Acolyte Hybrids, 11 Neophytes, 1 Primus and 1 Magus... 23!

Patriarch

This is another Commander of the Genestealer Cult Kill-Team and also the last miniature of the band I have painted.
The model is pretty cool and even though it's quite big, I have still followed the recipe and almost the time limitations I imposed on myself, which means it took me less than 2 hours to paint it. This is quite the record for such a slow painter as myself.
As I did not have a Sector Imperialis base of the right size, I just put a blob of greenstuff on a normal base and imprinted a bigger base on it. I am satisfied with how it ended up.

I am quite happy with the result looking at the time it took me to paint it!

Magus

Here is another Commander for the Team, a Magus.

I dedicated a it more of time on this one to the face and red cloak, although still within the 1 hour limit.

Cult Icon and Primus

As we have already covered the basic troops of the Cult, today is the turn for the Primus and the Cult Icon.
Even though the Primus is a commander, he is painted following the same techniques and limitations as mentioned before.

Neophyte Hybrids

In my previous post I shared my recipe on how to paint the cult members, which I have followed to paint these Neophytes.
You can see that the one using a Heavy rock cutter is a conversion as at the time I did not have the right figure, but I did have lots of chainswords lying around so it was just a matter of stitching them together.
These figures are not painted to a high standard, but they are ready for the battlefield in almost no time!
