Silver Tower: Family pictures

After having completed the set, I thought I would share some family pictures.
It is not so easy to capture so many figures, so some of them are blurry, but at least you can see the group effect.

Silver Tower: Gaunt Summoner

I am extremely happy to share this post today because it marks the finishing of yet another box, after completing Space Hulk previously now I am done with Silver Tower!

I was already quite tired of painting this box when I started to tackle the Gaunt Summoner, as a result I think the paint-job suffered. I decided to try my luck with different shades of blue in the armour and tunic but I am not so sure I managed to get them to look different.
All the other elements are painted using colours I have previously used for other Tzeentch daemons, so that I can give them a bit of cohesion, even if they are still chaotic.
My favourite part is the yellow eye looking from the top of the staff, but I can't really say it is a very good job. It took me roughly 2-3 hours in total which is still quite fast even though way above my 1h limit.

In any case, this marks a significant milestone for the year! I am now done painting all the miniatures I said I would. Therefore, it is time to start opening boxes and catching up with the lead mountain.
Next thing on the list is painting a few more skavens as I shared previously so I can play T9A with 4,500 points.
I am hoping to do them before Autumn starts, let's see how it goes!

Silver Tower: Ogroid Traumaturge

It has been only a couple of weeks without posting but somehow it feels like more.
I just had two figures left but unfortunately I did not manage to paint them before the end of June, let's target July instead!
Here is the first one, the Traumaturge, the one single miniature from the box that captured my eye from the first day.
I have had lots of problems with these two last figures, I am by now a bit tired of painting Silver Tower and I keep finding excuses not to paint them... in the end, the quality of the paint job suffered.

It has taken much more time than the approximately 1 hour I have dedicated to almost every other figure. I think this one took something between 3 and 4 hours, and I kept having doubts about what colours to use and how to paint certain things. I am not really happy with it, but I can put him now in the "done" box.
The pictures are just too bright and the highlighting on the skin cannot be appreciated, because of the weird pose he has, it was very difficult to snap a good picture.

Now, onto the last one!
