Horus Heresy Winter Event in Hamburg

Finally this year I am going to participate in an event with my fully painted Sons of Horus!ç

I am joining two other colleagues from Berlin and we go to Hamburg for the Horus Heresy Winter Event on the 10th and 11th of November.

You can find more information about it here, although only in German. This is an interesting event, which is not going to be really a tournament but rather a gathering of like-minded people that enjoy playing Horus Heresy. Reading the rules you can see that the guidelines for the Army creation are as follows:

1. Saturday
1. first match: 1000-1500 all Infantry, maximum 1 Contemptor + 2-3 Zone Mortalis Bases
2. second match: 1500-2500
3. Not decided, will be decided there
2. Sunday
1. Apocalypse or a big great battle

It is almost impossible to create some Army Lists that fits into the previous descriptions, because they are very vague, so I have created several lists and will bring my whole collection, so I can choose the most appropriate one for each match. I have tried to create ok-ish lists, but the goal as it is obvious from the description of the matches is not to be very competitive but rather have some fun and try to make things fit the Horus Heresy story arc.

The three 1000 Points lists are very similar, with small variations, I have successfully tested the Option #3, and it's the one I like the most, but I am not sure if Tanks would be allowed or not.

Finally, the 2500 list is just a full-blown Horus list with Terminators and all of my tanks, just for the pleasure of fielding them. I have no clue how to play with Horus though, but I could imagine he is a tough nut to crack!

I am hoping to see some cool armies, meet nice people and have lots of fun. I won't have time to write full battle reports, but I will try to take some photos and post an after-battle action report.
