Silver Tower: Darkoeth Chieftan

For today's post I am finally sharing the last hero of the box, the Barbarian. Well, it is officially called Darkoeth Chieftain, but we all know it is in fact a different take on the original Barbarian :)

I painted it following the same techniques as with the rest, simple and with the goal of finishing it in less than 1 hour if possible. The only thing new I tried was painting the skin without washes, just applying shadows as opposed to my usual way of doing it, which is washes and highlights. I am quite happy with it and I think I will be doing more like this one.

With this one done, the whole box is almost gone. Just two left!

Silver Tower: Excelsior War priest & Gryph Hound

I am showing today a very interesting hero for Silver Tower, the War priest.

I decided to paint it following the same skin colour as in the box art, and because I seldom paint black skin. They were both painted in approximately 1 hour following the fast techniques I have been using lately.

With these two done, just the Barbarian is missing from the heroes!

Silver Tower: Mistweaver Saith

This is a female elf model representing some kind of Witch. The figure is quite unique with the mist surrounding and making her float. I was really not sure how to tackle it, but in the end I decided to apply different shades of green for the clothes as if she was some kind of Wood Elf and greys for the mist.

The hair was painted in a similar way as with the Fireslayer, with washes and a bit of yellow and orange on top.

Silver Tower: Tenebrand Shard

This is the first of the two elves on the Silver Tower set.

I am not sure how they are called in Age of Sigmar, but it certainly looks like a male Witch Elf, so I painted him like that. Very pale skin, dark leather for the clothes and metal for the weapons. The skin was done with different washes and a bit of pale grey on top, I am satisfied with the tone although it is not a very good job, it is quite fast.
